4 Things You Should Know Before Buying A Pair Of Wireless Headphones

Read Time:2 Minute, 36 Second

Wireless headphones are becoming more popular than wired headphones. The only reason why people still buy wired headphones is cause they are cheaper when compared to the equivalent wireless headphones. Wireless offers a really different experience that you should try.

Here are four things you should consider before you buy your pair of wireless headphones especially if you’re a first-time buyer.

The type of headphone

There are 3 forms of wireless headphones: In-ear, Over-ear and On-ear headphones.

On-ear headphones rest on top of the ears and do not fully enclose your ears.

Over-ear headphones cover the entire ear which gives you better sound quality, louder volume, and better bass. Sometimes it may not be comfortable when you wear for long period.

In-ear is as it sounds. Those small ear pads that you place inside your ear.

In reality, it’s these 3 areas that people focus on when trying to find the right pair of wireless headphones.

Comfort and convenience are what a pair of headphones should have, especially if you plan on wearing for the entire day. And a lot of people will consider the looks because its a proven fact that headphones that do not look good, don’t sell as well as a sleeker looking headphone.

Sound Quality

Audio quality is one very important thing that you need to consider before committing to a pair of headphones. Today a lot of wireless headphones are equipped with Apt-X technology. To put it this simply. Bluetooth technology wasn’t built for audio transmission, so the audio is compressed and this makes the sound worse.

Compressing is done differently with Apt-X technology to makes audio quality similar to CD quality. So always check to make sure the headphone you choose supports Apt-X technology.

Battery Life

Wireless headphones have a limited battery life and will require charging after heavy usage. It might take some time to get used to if you’re only used to wired headphones. This an important factor that you must consider. Wireless headphones normally give you a few hour. It should be good enough to last you through the day. Alway look for a wireless headphone with long hours, the longer the hours the more playtime you get.

Price

Now that we have covered most of the things you should consider before buying a pair of headphone, it’s time to focus on price.

The fact is, the more money you spend on a premium pair of wireless headphones, the better the quality. So if you look headphones with great design, excellent sound quality, great features, then you can expect to spend a lot of money.  But you can find decent wireless headphones at a cheap price, they won’t sound as good as some of the more expensive wireless headphones.
