Priced from $60
The Tend Secure Lynx is a facial recognition security camera that’s under a $100.
With most of today’s, DIY HD security cameras costing over $100 its really great that for only $60 a Tend Secure Lynx indoor camera with 1080p HD live streaming, night vision, 2-way audio, free 7-day event based storage and a decent facial recognition software can be a really viable option.
The facial recognition is really great and will get smarter and smarter over time after capturing a few images different faces, which will maximize security and eliminate false alarms. You can use the Tend secure app (for iOS and Android) to preload images of familiar faces. Tend Secure will issue a mobile check-in notification with familiar faces, or if unfamiliar faces are detected users can get an alert notification and immediately see a live stream of the activity.
You can install multiple Lynx indoor cameras on the same network to monitor different areas inside your home or business workspace.
The Lynx doesn’t currently work with smart homes but is slated to work with Google Assistant by the end of July.
Also, a word of warning, Lynx is a budget camera that’s design is a bit flimsy. The build quality is poor and can be a bit better.
If you’re looking for a good indoor camera on a budget and simply don’t mind the cheap build quality, the Tend Secure Lynx is a pretty decent budget camera.
