After using the NewRun Success&Freedom Truly wireless earbuds for over a month this my full review.
Design & Feel
The NewRun Success&Freedom earbuds have an all plastic design with a rubbery like coating that gives the earbuds a very rugged feel. These earbuds have an IPX7 rating so I was able to use them in the shower with no issues. This is a big plus for these earbuds because most affordable true wireless earbuds under the $50 price point aren’t fully waterproof with an IPX7 rating.
The way the NewRun earbuds stay in your ear is the same as most truly wireless earbuds. Just slip them in and give them a twist so they lock in place and they will stay in your ear reasonably comfortable and secure most of the time. Please keep in mind that the earbuds will fall out from time to time under intense workouts no matter which ear tip you choose and they will start to get a bit uncomfortable after about an hour and a half of use so you might need to take them out for a minute or 2 just let them breathe.
The charging case is very lightweight and compact so it’s very easy to carry around and just like the earbuds, the charging case is also waterproof. Each earbud will easily fit in both ends of the charging case thanks to magnets that hold them in place very securely. Even if you accidentally drop the case on a hard surface the earbuds will stay securely in place. The case can also provide power to your smartphone and even though it not as powerful as more conventional power banks it will do a fairly decent job of giving you the power you need.
Connectivity
Pairing the earbuds to your smartphone is a very easy task, just simply hold down the power button on each earbud for around 6 seconds and the LED lights on both earbuds will start flashing red and blue which means you’re ready to connect. After you have initially connected to your phone they will automatically connect to your device every time you turn them on whether you use one or both earbuds.
You will get pretty good wireless signal strength thanks to Bluetooth 4.2 technology. I was able to get over 33-feet in wireless range with a clear line of sight and over 18 feet with 2 walls in between before the audio starts to go in and out.
Like most of the other truly wireless earbuds in its price range the NewRun earbuds have a tendency to drop and skip audio when the phone is in your pocket or just a few feet away.
Sound Quality
Sound quality in cheap truly wireless earbuds have never been mind blowing and with the NewRun Success&Freedom, it’s pretty much the same. The mids and bass are very balanced with the highs being a bit none existent so the vocals can be a bit tame and tinny because of the lack of highs. However, the noise isolation is very good, so please be careful when you’re in busy environments because you will hardly be able to hear whats going on around you.
Call Quality
Once you’re on a call, the left earbud will automatically turn off to make sure you stay aware of your surroundings. The call quality is similar to most of the other cheap true wireless earbuds on the market. The microphone works perfectly well indoors but once you venture outdoors that’s where the microphone starts to let you down. People on the other line will find it hard to hear you no matter the type of surroundings you find yourself in.
Battery Life
NewRun Success&Freedom claims you will be able to get 3 hours of constant playback but in reality, I got closer to 2½ hours at 50% volume which is still very acceptable considering the price. The charging case also gives you an extra 7 charges should you need them.

These truly wireless earbuds are far from perfect just like all the other truly wireless earbuds under the $50 price range. The NewRun Success&Freedom delivers good sound quality, comfort, and reliability which I feel is the 3 most important things to consider when buying a good pair true wireless earbuds.
