The Liberty 2 Pro looks like nice normal pair of truly wireless earbuds on the outside but on the inside, it has some pretty interesting tech that helps it to produce what Soundcore calls In-Ear Studio Performance.
Most earphones use 1 of 2 types of speaker technologies, either your standard dynamic drivers or balanced armatures. Balanced armatures are the most popular for earphones that contain multiple drivers with each of them typically responsible for different range of frequencies.
The Liberty 2 Pro actually uses both of these technologies. So, each earphone has a dynamic driver to handle the low end as well as a balanced armature for the mid-range and highs. Soundcore calls this setup the Astria Acoustic Audio Architecture. This prevents the drivers from obstructing and interfering with each other’s sound output similar to what most multi-driver earphones do. Soundcore has also worked with 10 multi-Grammy award-winning audio engineers who provided feedback throughout the Liberty 2’s development in order to achieve the best and most natural sound experience.
Another unique feature of this awesome earphone is called HearID. Inspired by the research into hearing aids, HearID is a kind of EQ setting but unlike the other pre-set equalizers that are available in the Soundcore app which also includes free pre-sets that were created by the audio engineers, HearID is custom-tuned for your ears only not only that but it takes into account the fact that your 2 ears actually hear differently from each other. It works by guiding you through what’s basically a hearing test for 1 ear and then the other. It then adjusts the frequencies according to how you hear, which is pretty awesome.
The app also has the ability to reprogram the earphone’s buttons. There’s a single button on each earphone to help you play and pause, skip tracks and summon your virtual assistant. The app lets you reassign double taps and long presses so you can customize it to your liking.
Soundcore’s parent company is Anker. And Anker is a company that’s well known as a provider for all things charging. The Liberty 2 Pro’s gets the benefit of all that battery technology experience. It offers an impressive 8 hours of playtime on a single charge and an addition 32 hours with the small compact charging case. Plus, thanks to quick charging technology, just 15 minutes of charge will give you 2 hours of playtime. The case also supports both fast charging or wireless charging via the included USB-C cable.
