House Of Marley Positive Vibration XL – REVIEW

House of Marley was Founded by the family of the legendary artist Bob Marley to continue to spread the joy and love of music with Marley’s Signature Sound.

What sets House of Marley apart from all the other audio brands on the market is that they are the first audio brand to craft their products from sustainable materials while also making a significant contribution to global reforestation.

With every purchase of a House of Marley product, House of Marley contributes a portion of the sales to the planting of trees worldwide by supporting the global reforestation efforts of the non-profit organization One Tree Planted.

Design & Comfort

This is there new House of Marley Positive Vibration XL wireless headphone. It’s a headphone that’s priced right at the $100 price point. And it doesn’t feel premium or cheap but it does have a very clean and sleek design that feels very solid and well put together. And like most House of Marley products, it’s crafted from FSC certified wood, premium REWIND fabric, stainless steel, and recyclable aluminum. Overall, I live the design of Positive Vibration XL, it’s definitely a very solid and well-made device that is built to last.

These headphones are some of the lightest in this price range, and that lightweight does really help in the overall comfort when it’s on your head. Plus there’s no pinching or squeezing to cause any sort of discomfort.

Comfort is pretty good on the ears, thanks to the memory foam ear cushions that form a really nice seal over your ears. The earcups do sit very nice on the ears so you will be able to wear them for prolong hours but eventually, you will get some ear fatigue and will have to give them a break.

Functions

All of the buttons are on the right earcup and unlike a lot of the competition, the buttons are tactile, easy to press, easy to access and identify. It has all the typical functions that you get on most headphones like, power, skip and go-and volume up and down.

On the left earcup is where you will find your USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack for physical connection in case the battery dies.

Battery Performance

Battery performance in wireless headphones has come a long way in the past few years and now in 2020, you can get very affordable wireless headphones that are capable of providing over 20 hours of music playtime on a single charge.

House of Marley claims that the Positive Vibration XL will deliver up to 24 hours of battery life which is pretty impressive. In my real-world use with the volume at 50%, I was able to get an even better 25 hours of playtime consistently. And because this headphone has quick charging technology, just 10 minutes of charging will give you 3 hours playtime.

Connectivity

Thanks to the latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology you’re able to get excellent signal coverage from up to 90+ feet away even with a few walls in-between. Additionally, when watching YouTube and Netflix from any Android or Apple device, there won’t be any syncing delays to interrupt your entertainment thanks to this headphone’s seamless connectivity.

The only frustrating thing for me about the Bluetooth connectivity is that it can only connect to one device at a time. I’m the kind of person that likes to enjoy using my wireless headphones with multiple devices like my phone, laptop, and tablet. And because the XL can’t easily switch between devices, every time I wanted to switch between devices I had to disconnect the Bluetooth from one device and then pair it to the next device.

Audio Experience

Audio experience is what we have come to expect. If you’re familiar with House of Marley audio products then you know you’re getting that recognizable Marley signature sound which consists of mellow tones and vocals with a decent amount of bass.

The mids are where these headphones shine with excellent clarity and great separation from the bass. The highs are bright with a decent amount of sharpness that adds to the overall listening experience.

Keep in mind that House of Marley headphones are not known for delivering strong powerful bass and it’s the same with Positive Vibration XL. The bass is present but it’s extremely tame so if you love headphones that deliver deep bass these headphones aren’t for you.

To Wrap Things Up

The House of Marley Positive Vibration XL wireless headphone is far from perfect but it offers something different from the competition. It’s a uniquely crafted headphone that delivers good sound quality, impressive battery life and powerful Bluetooth connectivity. And not only are you getting an awesome product that is made from sustainable renewable materials but your money is also going to a good cause. Its always better to stand out than to try and fit in and that’s what House Of Marley products do best. Read Next: Best House Of Marley Bluetooth Headphones
