Evapolar – Personal Portable Air Conditioner

Read Time:2 Minute, 16 Second

The Evapolar is your own personal air conditioner. The whole notion of your own air conditioner might sound absurd to some but if you live in the tropics like I do with so much heat, having your own little mobile air condition to cool you down is a no-brainer. Especially now that summer is right around the corner.

Evapolar Personal Air Cooler + Humidifier creates a really cool personal microclimate around you using natural evaporative technology, that’s best for hot dry climates.

What’s the difference between Evapolar and a conventional AC unit?

Hows does a AC unit work? Air passed over pipes which contain a chemical refrigerant. This process also condenses water vapor which is discarded so the resulting air is not just cold but dry.

Evapolar does the opposite of your conventional AC unit, it’s an evaporative cooler that sucks in air with a fan and passes it through a filter made of fibers soaked in water. When the air passes through the filter it expands energy that turns some of the water into vapor, making the energy that’s lost cause the air to cool. It then releases that cooler air and water vapor on you.

This little device is powerful enough to cool down a small room. Evapolar says it’s good enough to cool down the area in front of the device (45 sq.ft.), approximately the size of a desk, couch or bed. It Cools, humidifies, and cleans dust particles from the air for healthier breathing and you’ll be able to bring it just about anywhere you want.

You control the fan speed through a dial located at the top of the device where you can also change the color of the light in the water tank.

The Evapolar Personal Air Cooler is a great option if you want to keep cool on the go.

PROS

  • Everpolar doesn’t use a lot of current so if you can’t reach a wall outlet you can power it with a battery pack.

  • If you’re going to use it heavily throughout the day you will have to fill up the reservoir a few times throughout the day.

The Evapolar Personal Air Cooler gets a RATING of  7.0 / 10
