Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro now features a Magic Keyboard. So the saga of butterfly keyboards is finally over. So now the entire MacBook line-up uses the scissor-switch Magic Keyboard.
The new Keyboard
Gone is the old unreliable butterfly keyboard, it was so unreliable that everybody most people hated it. But it has now been replaced with the magic keyboard. The Magic Keyboard was something that we first saw in a laptop back with the 16-inch MacBook Pro in the fall of 2019 and they then added it to the 13-inch Macbook Air back in March of this year. And now it’s in the 13-inch Pro.
This new keyboard upgrade is way more reliable and feels much better and because it’s a scissor-switch types keyboard you won’t have to worry about it breaking.
Apple has also done work to make the entire keycap more stable so when you push on a corner it pushes down flat and evenly.
What’s new?
The keyboard is not the only thing that Apple has upgraded in the new 13-inch MacBook. There’s also a new processor that’s available as well. Its the 10th generation of Intel’s Core series which is the Core i5 with turbo boost up to 4.1 GHz. This upgrade is important because it makes the MacBook a little faster while also giving it the longevity to last a few more years.
The graphic has also been upgraded with Intel Iris Plus graphics so you can increase your workflow and productivity.
Storage has finally been updated and is now doubles, so the base model now features 256GB of storage with 8GB of RAM.
You have the option to spec or your MacBook with up to 32GB RAM with up to 4TB of storage.
