Recent tests run by SquareTrade a company that sells gadgets – repair plans, says that the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with it’s beautiful all glass design appears to break very easily. SquareTrade says the ” S8’s Screen Is Extremely susceptible to cracking when dropped from an angle”.
SquareTrade says the cracks appeared on both the S8 and S8 Plus after just one face – down drop onto the sidewalk from 6 feet and the phone experienced the same problem when dropped on the backs and sides.
To get these results SquareTrade used a set of robots to perform standard drops of the devices, making them slide, tumble, and also dunk them in water. Based on their performance in these tests, the S8 received a breakability score of 76 out of 100, while the S8+ received a score of 77, this puts them both at medium-high risk of breaking. This means the all new S8 and S8 Plus are less durable than their predecessors, the S7 and S7 edge.
So far Samsung has yet respond to the request for a comment.
So be careful with your S8 and S8 Plus be sure to buy a protective case and screen protector to protect your device.
